Mrs. Philine Kirkwood, aided by her husband Charles, is seen here in a New York police station to face her former husband's charges that she kidnapped their son Tommy Kreisler, 9, to raise him as a Communist. Mrs. Kirkwood, who arrived on the liner Queen Mary, was parted from the boy and taken to the station.
