1937 Press Photo Anthony Guerrera, 32, ex-prizefighter under arrest for theft

Anthony Guerrera, 32, ex-prizefighter, 725 North Hagan avenue, pictured handcuffed during his trial after he waved his arms menacingly at the jury, was found guilty yesterday of theft of a gold eiborium valued at $700 from the Holy Rosary church. His defense was insanity growing from his prizefight beatings. Fellow prisoners from parish prison said he beat his head against his cell wall and shouted to bring him the angels and the high priest.
