Civic leaders at Whittier, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, display a revised sign welcoming motorists to Whittier--now proclaimed to the world as the "Home Town of Richard Nixon." The Nixon family moved to Whittier when the president-designate was 9. He was born in tiny Yorba Linda, 15 miles distant.
