Mourners reach out to touch the flag-draped coffin of the late U.A.R. President Gamal Abdel Nasser as it passes through the streets of the capital amid incredible scenes of emotional fervour. Crowds tried to snatch his body from the gun-carriage and Egyptian flag was twice ripped off his coffin. Hundreds were reported to have been injured and several killed on the funeral route.
