1964 Press Photo Adlai Stevenson looks through his book of amusing letters

Adlai Stevenson, United States Ambassador to the United Nations looks through his favorite book--"Dear Mr. Ambassador: Selected Writings from the Great American Public." Stevenson says the book, compiled from his vast correspondence (seldom fewer than 500 letters a week), is an amusing one. With a grin he said he went on a diet right after receiving a letter that praised his "magnitude."
