The Chinese government has purchased the Lincoln Square Motor Inn, an 11-story motel next to New York's Lincoln Center, as headquarters for its United Nations mission, the motel management said Thursday. Lincoln Square manager James C. Pullar said the price would probably exceed $4 million. However, a real estate firm which claims to represent the Chinese said the motel was only one of four possible sites, with the decision several weeks away.
