John T. McNaughton, above, newly named Secretary of the Navy, may have been aboard a Piedmont Airlines plane which crashed today in mountain city of Hendersonville, North Carolina. McNaughton had reservations aboard the plane, but there was no immediate confirmation he had boarded it. This is a 1964 photo
