1964 Press Photo View of Trailways bus in Lake Pontchartrain after barge hit

A Trailways bus (lower center) is lifted from Lake Pontchartrain this morning after it plunged into the lake from the Causeway which was damaged by two barges. At left is south end of Causeway. Barges rammed supports similar to one in photo center, knocking out 4 sections of world's largest bridge. Bus, with 8 persons, apparently was on 3rd span to go. Six are dead.
