1972 Press Photo Manuel Irizarry in Manhattan police station charged with murder

Manuel Irizarry, left, is booked in a Manhattan police station early Friday and charged with homicide after the shotgun slaying a few hours earlier of the head cashier of New York's St. Regis-Sheraton Hotel. Police said the shooting occurred as Irizarry was at the hotel trying to regain a job from which he had been dismissed earlier in the month.
