1969 Press Photo Gary Steven Krist transported to Reidsville state penitentiary

Gary Steven Krist, bearded and handcuffed, is placed in a car outside the DeKalb County Jail in Decatur, Georgia, Tuesday for a trip to the state penitentiary at Reidsville. Krist was convicted of the kidnapping of Barbara Jane Mackle last December 17 and keeping her buried alive four days until $500,000 ransom was paid.
