Reverend Dr. Lester Harnish of Portland, OR, was nominated as the new president of the American Baptist Convention meeting in Atlantic City. Nomination is tantamount to the election. Dr. Harnish success Harold E. Stassen. He is now pastor of the First Baptist Church of Portland.
