1968 Press Photo Arthur Fleming, President of Macalester College, resigning

Arthur S. Fleming said Wednesday he is resigning as president of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. The announcement came several hours after it was reported wealthy magazine publisher DeWitt Wallace would trim contributions to the private school. Wallace and his wife have given Macalester $37 million during the past 40 years.
