1964 Press Photo Capt. Joseph Flynn & co-pilot flew across 'verboten' Corridor

Captain Joseph Flynn, right, New Canaan, CT, and is co-pilot Robert Nordt, Little Silver, NY, stand safely on ground at West Berlin's Tegel airport today. Despite warning by Soviets that safety of their plane, a Pan American DC8 jetliner, in background, could not be guaranteed, they met no MIG fighters they flew across East German air corridor at end of their flight from New York.
