1956 Press Photo Reverend Jesse Hughes of Harahan's First Baptist Church

The Reverend Jessie D. Hughes, pastor of First Baptist church, Harahan, has just celebrated his 19th anniversary at Harahan. He has made many improvements in his parish. He was presented with a television set and his wife was given an electric skillet by his congregation at a reception Saturday night at the church.
