Area oil executive elected to office A new Orleans oil company executive has been named president of the Independent Oil Compounders Association, a national group of independents involved in the manufacture of special lubricants and greases. John Faherty, president of Crown Oil Company was elected to head the 200-member organization during its convention here this week.
