Fontenot, 88, the former Catherine Heloise Chachere, reads a copy of the Chachere family record to her great-grandson, Devlin Bourdier, 4, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bourdier Jr. of Opelousas, Mrs. Fontenot, oldest living direct descendant of Henry Chachere, is the great-granddaughter of Louis Vauchere and Catherine Chachere.
