1950 Press Photo Protective measures placed around residence of President Truman

Extra-ordinary protective measures were placed around the Blair House, residence of President Truman, today after yesterday's attempt to assassinate President Truman. Pedestrians are no longer permitted to walk past the Blair House except on the opposite side of the street. Extra policemen are on duty and the street is roped off.
