1940 Press Photo Masachusetts Coastal Guardsmen at Camp Hullen Training

National Guardsmen of the 211th Massachusetts Coastal Artillery unit get down to a little serious business after a few days' rest from Boston by train to their home for a year's training, camp Hulen, near Palacios, Texas. When Battery A's cook needed a hand or two to prepare a meal he found plenty of New Englander's fish cleaning experience and he promptly put them to work. "I wish I was home," said one.
