1947 Press Photo Lucille Medlin mother of Mary Jane who was found beaten in CA

Mrs. Medlin had asked Hugh Gilreath, who she was living with, to take her daughter to Weed, California and leave her there. Mrs. Medlin wept when Mary Jane had been found and brought to the hospital. The child's father asked if he could her into his custody.
