1970 Press Photo Lumberjack Dennis Fink Using a Hoist and Slasher for Logging

A modern woodsman, Dennis Fink of Woodruff (Oneida County), loaded logs with a hoist. A new slasher in front of the machine cut the logs into 8 foot lengths. The two devices enable Fink to cut about 40 cords a day. Lumbering - Wisconsin.
